My hubby has has locks for several years now and has been trying to get me to go natural for so long but I kept fighting it. When I decided to go natural, I hadn't really done any research on hair care. I just went and had my hair cut off and walked out of the barber shop thinking, What now?
So since then, I have been reading blogs, watching Youtube videos and e-mailing friends and family with natural hair to ask, what do I do now?
I didn't expect the spectrum of information to vary so much from person to person, but it does. So, I'm starting with a few basics and will then work my way up to the big leads.
So what exactly is his blog about? It will be about my journey with natural hair. I will document my daily styles, products, regime and the wrongs that go wrong during this process so hopefully you don't make the same mistakes.
So let's get this journey started. This morning, I did a co-wash and allowed the conditioner to sit penetrate my hair for about 15 minutes. To help give additional moisture and curls, I used a combination of Shea Butter and Jojoba oil that I mixed together and rubbed throughout my entire head.
I went through the day and noticed that my hair felt soft, but a little greasy so I need to make some adjustments. I don't like the feeling of heavy oily hair.
Blessings!
